B Corp companies are accredited by B Lab, a non-profit organization with international presence. B Lab promotes a global movement that advocates for a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economic model. The entity is responsible for verifying that companies meet the standards of transparency, responsibility, and social and environmental impact necessary to obtain B Corp certification.

To obtain B Corp certification, companies must pass a rigorous assessment that analyzes the impact of their activity in five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and clients. This analysis translates into an overall score that reflects the company's real and tangible commitment to the common good. Aspects such as transparency, business ethics, and the ability to integrate social and environmental values into corporate strategy are also evaluated. The B Corp certification is not a permanent recognition. It is a living and demanding commitment. Every three years, companies must renew their certification by passing the impact assessment again. In addition, they may receive spot reviews if significant changes occur in their structure or activity. This follow-up ensures that the commitment remains active, consolidates, and adapts to the changing challenges of the social and environmental context.
